At the Sacra di San Michele, after the great success of the Gospel concert, the appointment with music returns, this time in a classical version. On the occasion of Holy Easter, the musicians of the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in the main church on Saturday 1 April at 8.30 pm with the Corale Goitre. The soprano Annamaria Turicchi, the contralto Sabrina Pecchenino, the tenor Corrado Margutti, the bass Desaret Lika will be protagonists for Mozart’s Requiem under the direction of Maestro Corrado Margutti. With them at the organ Marco Gianotto and the Turin OFC orchestra conducted by Maestro Francesco Cavaliere. The rector of the Sacra di San Michele Don Claudio Papa explains. This is how two excellences of the musical art meet here at the Sacra on the occasion of Holy Easter as a message of good wishes and a peace that we so much desire”. The notes will be from the Requiem K626 composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the end of the eighteenth century and remained unfinished due to the author’s death.
