THE LAKES NATURAL PARK
THE GREEN HEART OF AVIGLIANA
Like a priceless treasure, the medieval town is surrounded by moraine hills. Along its attractive itineraries you can enjoy rich and unspoilt nature. Its close connection to the town, founded on respect for the environment, is attested today with the award of the Five Sails of Legambiente and Touring Club.

With its 400 acres, the Avigliana Lakes Nature Park is characterised by a varied ecosystem: the hills, the marshy Mareschi area, and the two lakes.
Three diverse, yet intertwining habitats that give this environment a unique and beautiful nature. It is an essential stop for many species of migrating birds, as well as being home to resident species such as the great crested grebe, with its very special “mirror dance”.
The Lago Grande, suitable for swimming, with a sailing centre and water clubs, is the cleanest lake in Piedmont and one of the cleanest in Italy.
It is the ideal setting for water sports such as water skiing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing. The lakefront is home to picturesque floating walkways for relaxing walks, while for the more daring there is an underwater rail to tackle diving exploration of its depths.
