REA Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden Rea is situated in Trana – Strada Giaveno 40 in the little hamlet of San Bernardino at 450 m on the sea level.

It was founded in 1967 by Giuseppe Giovanni Bellia as “Experimental Garden of acclimation for alpine and perennial herbaceous plants”, after the opening in 1961, of a nursery of ornamental plants. Piedmont Region bought the Garden in 1989 completely restored and entrusted to the Local Mountain Community. In the Garden are grown more than 2500 plants. Exploring path, guided visits and regular theme exhibitions offer to the visitors the possibility to discover the secrets of the vegetable life in all seasons. All year long some events, conferences, classes and teaching activities are organized.
