Art and Culture
trees and memory
New meetings will be held in Avigliana on the theme of trees in art, poetry, literature and travel.
A group of members of the Avigliana Readers’ Club organizes them, taking advantage of the suggestions that emerged as part of the Reading Pact promoted by the municipal administration. The initiative is inspired by the dossier, downloadable below, entitled “Trees, memory, but not only” through which the participants of the cultural group shared memories and experiences. The new events will feature passionate and competent people who will bring trees together with myths, poetry, music and pictorial art.
February and March appointments:
Wednesday 14 February 2024 Giuliana Cusino, ceramist and cultural organizer will talk about trees and her art.
On Wednesday 21 February Serena Zanardo, artist, writer and expert on ancient cultures, will dialogue with the public. The artists will offer a look that comes from afar, but which closely affects every human being, on the ancient relationship between men and trees.
The location of the two conversations in February is the Maria Teresa Borgesa Social Center in via IV Novembre 19 from 3pm to 5pm.
On Tuesday 12 March, Laura Riviera, author of theatrical performances, organizer of reading experiences and other cultural events, will lead a workshop on poetry.
On Wednesday 20 March Paola Ballesio, communication expert and passionate traveller, will take anyone who wants to intervene into a distant world.
Both meetings in March will take place at the Gran Caffè del Corso in Corso Laghi 6 from 3pm to 5pm.
