How much freedom and what reality – a meeting organized by the Ass. CircularMente
Political realism, beyond the various theories, has maintained an indication of method over time: one can never ignore the consideration of the interests and psychological movements of the actors, seen within a field of tensions in which they are strong or weak, winners or vanquished. As we enter the 21st century, events are unfortunately returning realism to its tragic mask. To contain the risks and to maintain the foundations for a true exercise of freedom, articulated diagnoses and wide-ranging strategies are essential, not unrealistic illusions.
Speaker Prof. Pier Paolo Portinaro taught political philosophy at the University of Turin and is a national member of the Academy of Sciences of Turin.
