Grange di Rivera patronal celebration

On Wednesday 1st May it will be possible to visit the Roman Villa of Almese on the occasion of the Patronal Festival of Grange di Rivera. The guided tour, conducted by an archaeologist and volunteers from the Ar.c.A. association. of Almese, will lead to the discovery of Roman architecture and culture. Going back in time it will be possible to enter the rooms of the villa which, together with the Roman Villa of Caselette, is one of the most important suburban residential complexes from the Roman era in Piedmont.

On the occasion of the Patronal Festival of Grange di Rivera, the Roman Villa of Almese will host the groups of re-enactors Mondo Novo History Fragments and Flamulasca, who will guide visitors to discover life in the times of ancient Rome.

The Roman Villa of Almese, located in Grange di Rivera, will be open to the public from 2.30pm to 6pm with the first visit starting at 2.30pm while the second is scheduled for 4pm.

The day is promoted by the Ar.c.A. association. (Art, Archeology and Culture in Almese) with the patronage of the municipality of Almese, in collaboration with the Magnetto Foundation, Finder S.p.A., Univoca, Treasures of Alpine art and culture and the Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Turin.
