Giselle – appointment with ballet at the cinema

Russian principal dancer Olga Smirnova, who joined the Dutch National Ballet company in March 2022 after fleeing Russia at the start of the war with Ukraine, will be the deceived peasant girl in the romantic ballet par excellence, Giselle. Accompanying her, in the role of Prince Albrecht, is the Italian Jacopo Tissi, also a former étoile of the Bolshoi of Moscow now working in Holland where he was recently appointed Principal of the company. Both D&D Award, she “best dancer” in 2018 and he “best Italian dancer abroad” in 2017. A cinematographic event that will give audiences from all over the world the opportunity to attend the most romantic show in the classical ballet repertoire.
