Opening Roman villa Almese – Europeen Day of Heritage
Saturday 23 September it will be possible to visit the Roman Villa of Almese. The guided tour, conducted by an archaeologist and by volunteers from the Ar.c.A association of Almese, will lead to the discovery of Roman architecture and culture. Going back in time it will be possible to enter the rooms of the villa which, together with the Villa Romana di Caselette, is one of the most important suburban residential complexes of the Roman era in Piedmont.
The Roman Villa of Almese, located in the locality of Grange di Rivera, will be open to visitors from 3.30pm to 6.30pm with the first visit starting at 3.30pm while the second is scheduled for 5pm
The day is promoted by the Ar.c.A. (Art, Archeology and Culture in Almese) with the patronage of the municipality of Almese, in collaboration with the Magnetto Foundation, Finder S.p.A., Univoca, Alpine art and culture treasures and the Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape for the
Metropolitan City of Turin.
