Francigena Marathon Val di Susa #FMV2024
On September 15, 2024 at 7:15 a.m. the 6th edition of the marathon will start from the historic center of Avigliana and end after 45 km inside the Roman amphitheater in Susa. The half marathon from Sant’Antonino with arrival in Susa and a short route from Avigliana to the Sacra di San Michele are also planned.
The marathon route, along the Via Francigena in Val di Susa, rediscovers a territory with a thousand-year history witnessed by a great heritage of art, Alpine culture, natural beauty of mountains and valley woods. Proceeding slowly without running will allow you to admire enchanting landscapes and the vestiges left by man over the course of 6,000 years of history.
It is in this varied and authentic landscape that the marathon route winds from Avigliana to Susa through these ancient paths, offering participants the opportunity to savour the soul of this land and to reconstruct, through a gentle walk that refreshes spirit, mind and body, a unique cultural mosaic.
