travelling voices – albania
The first meeting of the VOCI IN VIAGGIO review is underway, this time dedicated to the theme of travel and, in particular, to trips to Albania promoted by the responsible tourism tour operator Viaggi Solidali.
From an unknown destination to last summer’s boom: in the space of a decade, Albania has changed a lot, as has the interest of Italian travelers in the “Land of Eagles”. Yesterday as today, however, traveling according to the principles of responsible tourism remains necessary. If a few years ago contact with the local community allowed us to overcome stereotypes and prejudices, now it is crucial to think of Albania as a destination for quality cultural tourism, and not just as a “low cost” destination. Viaggi Solidali was the first tour operator to promote responsible tourism experiences in Albania and, together with its Albanian partners, every year it is committed to enriching and expanding its travel proposals in this country, small and close to Italy, incredibly rich of history and traces of Mediterranean and Balkan cultures, UNESCO sites and breathtaking landscapes.
We will talk about all this in an evening also dedicated to celebrating the success of the Albania guide published by Feltrinelli and written by Benko Gjata and Francesco Vietti, historic collaborators of Viaggi Solidali and creators of our tours in Albania and the Western Balkans.
The event is promoted by Viaggi Solidali, Walden, Casa Conte Rosso and Ciclocucina, in collaboration with the bookshop La Casa dei Libri, and sponsored by the City of Avigliana.
Followed by a possible dinner with the authors by reservation on 0119617556
