Contents and objectives: Great scientific progress has not made it possible to control and limit the continuous increase in the incidence of chronic disease. The need to find a new model to explain the complexity of the human organism and its interaction with the cosmos has thus become increasingly evident. A model capable of reading the disease in its physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions. In this context, Hildegard’s knowledge and medicine can outline a new path, a new model of analysis and synthesis. Exactly as only the symbolic language that pervades all the prophetic works of Hildegard of Bingen can do. The symbol is able to simultaneously explain the visible and the invisible, intimately united and interdependent, helping us to
identify the profound causes of the pathogenetic process that cannot be relegated only to the physiological aspect. The principles of this model will be explained, enhancing its precious relevance, by Doctor Sabrina Melino, scholar, popularizer and experimenter of Hildegardian medicine thanks to the contribution of illustrious professionals in the medical, philosophical and psychodramaturgical fields. Dr. Becarelli, Prof. Gabrielli and Dr. Greco will allow the Hildegardian vision to be united with the most modern evidence in the scientific and humanistic fields in a perfect setting, as is the symbol.
