swim with the champions- in the big lake of avigliana

The Swim with champions training day will take place on Saturday 28 September 2024 from 8.30 to 12.30 on Lago Grande at the CVA, Avigliana Sailing Centre. Now in its second edition, the sporting event is organized by Fisio sport with the patronage of the Municipality of Avigliana and will allow participants to learn techniques related to swimming, thanks to the two champions Marco Orsi, vice-world champion in the pool and European swimming champion , member of the Fiamme Oro Roma sports group and Simone Ruffini, open water swimming world champion in Kazan 2015 and athlete of the State Police sports group.

The first part of the morning together with Marco and Simone will be dedicated to swimming theory, before moving on to applying the concepts learned in complete safety in the clear waters of Lago Grande in Avigliana. In fact, a circuit of buoys of approximately one thousand meters will be created on the lake and the participants will be followed by the two champions in the water and by the boat. At the end of the academy, the certificate of participation will be issued and there will be the opportunity to have lunch with Simone and Marco and all the Fisio sport staff.

The program

– 8.30am Meeting at the Avigliana Sailing Center with breakfast on site;
– 9.00am – 9.30am Introduction to the activity by the FisioSport staff;
– 9.30am – 11.00am Theoretical part with Marco and Simone;
– 11.00am – 11.30am Coffee break and preparation for entering the water;
– 11.30am – 12.30am Practical part in the lake with the assistance of the Civil Protection of Avigliana
– 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm Lunch on site at the sailing center included in the registration fee.

Registration fee
The fee of 60 euros includes:

– Buffet breakfast at the Avigliana sailing centre;
– Theoretical lesson with Marco Orsi and Simone Ruffini;
– Event insurance;
– Mid-morning coffee and fruit;
– Practical lesson in the water with civil protection assistance;
– Event headphones;
– Lunch served at the table with a menu dedicated to athletes;
– FisioSport certificate of participation.
