“…. the creative experience is the most complete form of life that human beings can know… The passion for working ceramics has been the hallmark of the entire journey I have made for over forty years in the world of ceramics. To enrich my knowledge and skills, the attendance of well-known potters’ workshops in France, Great Britain and, in Italy, above all in Tuscany, has been invaluable. The experience of working mainly with high temperature clays has led me to prefer the creation of works with stoneware and porcelain mixtures. A characteristic of my work is the technical complexity with which I choose and elaborate the subjects of the works. I have carried out research on different types of processes aimed in particular at ancient ceramic traditions such as: “sealed earth ” widely used by Greeks and Romans and the “raku” firing technique deriving from an ancient Japanese tradition”… Romana Pavan
