San Bartolomeo rediscovered

Guided tours of this hidden gem on the shores of Avigliana’s Lago Piccolo, a Romanesque church that was part of a priory dependent on the Sacra di San Michele until the 17th century and then abandoned.
The structure, which from the outside may appear bare, conceals a complex cycle of late Gothic frescoes and still has many mysteries to discover.
