Remembrance Day 2026

A resilient walk through places of remembrance.

Meeting point: Sunday, 1 February 2026 at 10 a.m. at Avigliana station in Piazzetta De André, on the corner of Via Le Coq.

The project Staffette della Memoria – I luoghi della Resistenza valsusina (Relays of Memory – Places of Resistance in Valsusa) will be presented. It is an interactive map created by the students of the Norberto Rosa High School in Bussoleno under the guidance of Professor Francesca Rocci.

The next stops on the Path of Remembrance will be: Piazzetta De Andrè to remember Carlo Carli and Guerrino Nicoli, and the cemetery on Viale della Memoria with the memorial and plaque dedicated to Enrico Grandi.

The initiative is part of the municipal administration’s plan to promote culture and historical memory, as well as to collaborate with associations and schools.

Si svolge per sensibilizzare la popolazione, e in particolare le nuove generazioni, sui pericoli dell’antisemitismo, del razzismo e di ogni forma di intolleranza, a partire dal ricordo di quanto accaduto durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, al fine di prevenire il ripetersi di tali atrocità.
