Pellegrina Bike Marathon 2021

The first edition of the cycling event “La Pellegrina” Bike Marathon is about to start, with departure and arrival in Susa, the heart of the entire cycling system of the Susa Valleys in the Province of Turin.

“LA PELLEGRINA” BIKE MARATHON is traced around  the Via Francigena: it will start from the historic city of Susa, capital of the Valley, at the center of the millenary road system of the Moncenisio and Monginevro hills, one of the access gates to the network of former military roads and high altitude and easily accessible both by car, with the Frejus A32, and by rail. A crossroads of the two Francigena pedestrian routes between Monginevro and Moncenisio. From here we will descend towards Avigliana and then reach the Castello di Rivoli.

“LA PELLEGRINA” BIKE MARATHON is dedicated to all types of bicycles: BDC, gravel, MTB and vintage-style bicycles (with vintage or historically inspired bicycle clothing). It will also be possible to use E-Bikes which will constitute a separate category.

THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENTIATED ROUTES WITH “ALLA FRANCESE” DEPARTURE AND WITHOUT OFFICIAL RANKING
The event is divided into 3 distinct routes:

Longer and more demanding “MARATHON” of about 145 Km. With a difference in height of D + 3000 m.
“PELLEGRINA” shorter and easier of about 47 Km. About D + 550 m.
“SHORT” for everyone and dedicated to families and children of about 12 Km and D + 100 m.
