Nuota in comune 2025

This year’s edition of Nuota in Comune (Swim in the Municipality), the free group crossing of Avigliana’s Lago Grande, will once again take place, with some novelties compared to previous editions. The date of the 17th edition of Nuota in Comune is Sunday 31st August 2025, with a meeting point at 10 a.m. and departure at 10.30 a.m. from the Club sport nautici in via Monginevro 30, with a logistic organisation different from that of previous years. For those who have participated in previous editions, the trajectory has in fact been reversed. So the start will be at the Club sport nautici in via Monginevro 30, while the finish will be at the Circolo velico Avigliana in corso Laghi 282. In addition, the car park in Piazzale Nino Costa, adjacent to the start, will not be accessible for another event, so only the unloading of participants will have to be envisaged, and it is suggested as an alternative car park that in Piazzale Grande Torino, next to the sports fields, then a walk through the park to the Green beach, crossing the lake and returning to the Baia Grande using the footbridge.

There will be approximately 800 metres to swim, each at his or her own pace. This is a non-competitive swim and is intended as an opportunity for recreation and exercise, not a race. There will be a shuttle service for backpacks only from the start to the finishing point. The aim of the event continues to be to popularise swimming in the open waters of the lake and the opportunities that our medieval town with its green heart can offer.
