Morpho – red butterfly. Art exhibition at the Ricetto of Almese
The Ricetto per l’Arte – Agorà della Valsusa – of Almese (To) in collaboration with Fabula Rasa and the Artemixia Association, inaugurates, on Sunday 21 November at 3.30 pm, on the occasion of the World Day Against Violence against Women, the interactive emotional exhibition “MORPHO , red butterfly “.
Gender-based violence takes various forms: from physical to psychological, from domestic to witnessed violence. The choice of this exhibition wants to give voice to a sensitive theme, unfortunately always current.
Each room of the Ricetto per l’Arte hosts an installation created by four artists linked to the territory: Carmen Assanti, Renata Ferrari, Valentina Rossi and Virna Suppo.
The first room welcomes the public through history with verses and images that tell important female figures: Hypatia, Artemisia Gentileschi, Frida Kahlo and Alda Merini; the room on the first floor hosts an emotional project, images by the photographer Valeria Fioranti from Avigliana; on the second floor the Filo Rosso and in the wunderkammer (room of wonders) the Flight of the Butterflies will be represented with some artistic works; Emotions in Freedom will be set up in the hall on the third floor: a wall will be left to the free thought of the public who will revive the emotions in a collective work of the Community.
On the opening day Fabula Rasa theater company of Beppe Gromi from Almese and Rosalba Castelli, artistic director of the Rosso Indelebile project promoted for years by Artemixia Aps, together with the performers of “Muta la pelle”, will create moments of improvisation and performance at the square of the Borgo and within the walls of the Ricetto becoming a living work within the exhibition itself.
