Mobilization and fight against inequalities – meeting with the ass. circolarmente

The new appointment of Circolarmente is entitled “Why do we mobilize? A fairer future and the fight against inequalities” with Filippo Barbera, professor of economic sociology. It will be held on Wednesday 26 March 2025 at 8:45 pm at the Bertotto auditorium. The conference will focus on the relationship between public space and the ability to aspire to a fairer future. The political season defined as “neoliberal” has in fact been accompanied by the contraction of public spaces that enable our interactions as citizens, as well as by the disintermediation of political-organizational spaces and also by the reduction of the diversity of living places through the transformation into productive and competitive spaces. Starting from this perspective, the relevance of spaces-in-common in the public sphere and the mechanisms that nourish the capacity for the future of communities will be explored. The thesis is that the richness, variety and organization of spaces that the neoliberal model has eroded or erased are central to fueling the “ability to aspire” to a more just future, in which individual needs and collective solutions meet in the name of greater social justice and against inequalities. The opening will feature musical performances by students of the Goitre Center.
