M’illumino di meno – edition 2025

In 2025, for its XXI edition, M’illumino di Meno is extended and lasts a week. Because just one day is no longer enough to tell the story of the participation of thousands of people, schools, cities, companies, associations and communities. We start on Sunday 16 February 2025, National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, with a special episode of Caterpillar Rai Radio2. The shutdown of institutional buildings, squares, monuments and town halls is celebrated, and the support of the Sunday people is asked: athletes and fans, faithful and officiants of all cults, extended or small families who meet for Sunday lunch, cinemas that fill up.

This year’s edition of M’illumino di meno has as its theme fast fashion and the impact of the fashion industry. In Avigliana for the occasion there will be an extraordinary opening of Avigliana Riusa on Wednesday 19 February, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm, thanks to the availability of the municipal group of Ecovolunteers, which manages the reuse centre.
Added to this initiative is the meeting on Energy Communities scheduled for Thursday 20 February at 8.45 pm in the council room in Avigliana (last of a series of 5 meetings directed by Umvs).
On February 16, in the wake of past years, some monuments and public places in the city will be symbolically extinguished: Piazza Conte Rosso, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in the old town and the sanctuary of the Madonna dei Laghi.

For the entire following week, until Friday 21 February, space will be given to the large community of M’illumino di Meno.
