On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, the Circularly Association proposes a meeting to be held on Wednesday 8 March at 8.45 pm in the Daniele Bertotto auditorium (Defendente Ferrari middle school via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto 3 Avigliana) with the title “When science is female. The contribution of women to science”. The speaker will be Emiliana Losma, researcher of the historical and cultural production of women, particularly in the scientific field.
With her contribution we will be able to get to know some of those women who fought against stereotypes and excluding legislation, bringing about real innovations, often unacknowledged, which instead gave significant results in the scientific production of the twentieth century. Starting from this meeting, CircolarMente intends to launch other initiatives next year that could involve teachers and students interested in exploring the cultural heritage that still weighs heavily on women today.
