Magnalonga of Drubiaglio – 4th edition

You have time until September 17th to register for the fourth edition of Magnalonga. The non-competitive food and wine walk, organized by the Famija ed Drubiaij association together with a group of volunteers, this year takes place on Sunday 22 September. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Avigliana, in collaboration with Pro Loco, Gam di Foresto, Egiivo social farm, Raindog dog group and A3 association. It is also included among the events of Gusto Valsusa, which deals with the valorisation of traditional products from Val di Susa.

The route extends over approximately six kilometres, always flat: it starts from the square of the Anna Frank school in Drubiaglio, arrives at la Grangia, runs along the Messa stream passing between farmhouses and meadows, crosses the historic centre, finally ending at the starting point. Along the entire route there are stops where it is possible to taste local products. It starts with an aperitif, continuing with the tasting of an appetizer, a first course, two second courses including the renowned Slow Food Presidium Drubiaglio Onions, a tasting of artisanal cheeses and salami. It ends with ice cream and coffee. At the different stages of the route, water and a drink are distributed for children and red or white wines can be tasted. Like every year, departures are staggered every 15 minutes, starting from 11 am to 1.15 pm; when you sign up you can choose your preferred slot.

The route is enriched with many new activities. In addition to the games and installations created entirely by hand by a group of artists from the village, this year the company Il Volo Silent is present, which through small practical tests gives the public the opportunity to get closer to the world of birds of prey. The Aviglianese A3 archaeological association will accompany everyone into the ancient world of the Romans and there will be live music.

There are many local commercial entities that have wanted to support the event, which can grow more every year thanks to this support.
