La voce dell’anima sarda: In memory of Andrea Parodi

A unique and exclusive event created for the Valsusa Filmfest and hosted by journalist and cultural figure Enrico Deregibus, paying tribute to Andrea Parodi
twenty years after his death.

An unforgettable Sardinian singer and founder of the band Tazenda, he left a lasting mark on Italian music and touched the hearts of entire generations.

A unique voice and an ability to blend Sardinian ethnic traditions with contemporary pop rock. On stage at the Teatro Fassino, in a blend of personal stories, collective memory and musical moments, members of his family – Valentina Casalena and Luca Parodi (Andrea’s wife and son, respectively) – will come together and take turns performing, alongside his long-standing artistic collaborators: the band Tazenda and singer-songwriter Elena Ledda (also artistic director of the Andrea Parodi Prize), accompanied by musician Mauro Palmas.

This evening is also intended to be a symbolic gathering and a cultural bridge between two ‘resilient’ communities: those of Sardinia and Valsusa. Two regions that are geographically distant, yet united by a strong sense of identity, belonging and the desire to preserve their roots.
