The film is a personal story of some moments spent by the director with her father. Luigi and Francesca share a passion for cinema, despite their different life choices and ways of being in the world. The story is set during the Years of Lead, on the set of Pinocchio, the film his father is working on in those days. She is a child but he speaks to her with seriousness, composure and respect as one would with an adult. Francesca grows up and becomes a girl in a historical period of change, full of political struggles and social revolutions, but unfortunately also of massacres. Her passion for cinema always accompanies her but magic gives way to insecurity. It is precisely in this fragment of Italian history that heroin appears and spreads throughout the country, which profoundly marked and changed the life of Francesca and her generations. Luigi is unarmed, he doesn’t know how to react, but he decides to stay by her side, taking her with him to Paris.
