“Discover cribs, discover paths” is a walk along the paths of Avigliana to discover 24 nativity scenes: it takes place on Sunday 19 December with meeting at 2.15 pm. The route lasts about 1 hour and a half, starting all together at 2.30 pm from the church of San Giovanni where the historical mechanical nativity scene is located, set up every year for 26 years in the atrium of the church.
It is a spontaneous event, an initiative born last year with some nativity scenes distributed throughout the area. Bruno Castelli, eco-volunteer and representative of the spontaneous Slowfeet group, involved seven families from the condominium in via IV Novembre to build 24 cribs and distribute them along the paths of Avigliana. The 12 most important nativity scenes were created in wood and another 12 were put together with the materials offered by the forest.
The walk is also an opportunity to discover the paths of the area, enhanced thanks to the care and maintenance of Ecovolunteers.
