circolarmente and the architect profession
As part of the 2024/25 annual review So equal, so different organized by the cultural association Circolarmente, with the patronage of the Municipality of Avigliana, in collaboration with the Casa dei libri, with the extraordinary participation of the Goitre music study centre, it will take place the fourth meeting entitled:
Who needs an architecture that does not mortify diversity
Wednesday 29 January at 8.45pm in the Daniele Bertotto auditorium, at the Defendente Ferrari middle school, via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto 3.
What are the political challenges that architects can concretely address, based on what they know and what they can do with their projects? Professor Alessandro Armando, professor of architectural and urban composition at the Polytechnic of Turin, will try to answer the question in light of the conditions in which the profession is carried out, especially with reference to the Italian situation. Starting from the volume Critique of design reason, we will look at the work of architects as a practice dealing with bureaucratic procedures, continuous negotiations and changes of direction, which however still retains the ambition of being able to influence the transformation and improvement of the inhabited space, given that human agglomerations are profoundly supporters of equalities and inequalities. Free entrance.
