Circolarmente and china
On Wednesday 19 April at 8.45pm in the Daniele Bertotto auditorium at the Defendente Ferrari middle school in via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto 3, Professor Giuseppe Gabusi, professor of International Political Economy and East Asia at the University of Turin will speak about China at center of global change. Over the past twenty years, the rise of Beijing and its growing assertiveness in foreign policy have introduced numerous elements of innovation within markets, institutions and governance, and the implications of these innovations have yet to be fully understood. Despite the success of Cold War narratives, China is not the Soviet Union: Beijing is on its way to becoming the largest economy in the world, for all intents and purposes. A rapidly changing global system offers multiple opportunities, but at the same time generates the risk of creating a dysfunctional or even conflicting global economy. Understanding is more than ever in everyone’s interest.
