change! – conference at the Sacra di San Michele

Saturday 17 May at 9:30 am in Foresteria Grande, conference “CHANGE! The Alps between environmental crisis and new tourist horizons”.
In May, the Sacra di San Michele hosts the usual training event aimed at an audience of teachers, hiking guides, CAI members, tourism professionals, and enthusiasts of Alpine history and culture.

For teachers, the day will be considered as a professional refresher course (8 hours).

The event will be an opportunity to reflect on the future of the mountains, between mass tourism and increasingly urgent transformations, in response to growing environmental impacts.

Annibale Salsa, anthropologist and writer, former president of the CAI, will bring his contribution to the conference.

In the afternoon, the program includes a guided tour of the abbey led by students of the three-year tourism course at the ITC Galilei: an unusual, as well as astonishing point of view on art, history and nature.

Welcome and start of the conference.

Buffet at km0 with typical products of the Susa Valley, by the Cantun del Lait and Ametlier companies.

2:30 pm
Delivery of certificates.

3:30 pm
Guided tour of the Sacra di San Michele and exit.

Registration fee: €12.00 including entrance ticket, guided tour of the abbey, hiking publication on the routes and access routes to the abbey.
Payment upon registration upon arrival at the conference, by cash or satispay.

Optional buffet with typical products and wines of the Susa Valley: mandatory reservation via registration form and payment of €15.00 in cash or by satispay upon registration upon arrival.
