Celebrating World Environment Day

Also this year to celebrate World Environment Day which takes place on Wednesday 5 June, the Municipality of Avigliana is implementing various initiatives:

A night bike ride will take place on June 5th starting from 8.30pm with meeting at the station, in Piazzale Giorgio Gaber: it will also be an opportunity to remember World Bicycle Day which is celebrated on June 3rd and to officially inaugurate the new track Corso Torino cycle path, which now allows you to connect the two industrial areas of the city via the train station. The return is expected around 10.30pm: it is recommended to equip the bicycle with warning lights. In case of rain the bike ride is postponed to Friday 7 June, always at the same time and with the same meeting point.

On Saturday 8 June at the Alveare verde park, the Amandoli association is organizing Open lab in the night starting from 10am, an event that will last all day, with material recycling workshops and sustainable creations in the morning. At the Green Beehive there will also be an Acsel banquet. Program  of the activities by Amandoli below.

Hobbyists – Objects created with recycled materials
At 5.30 pm there will be the awards ceremony for the “Bussare&Attendere” competition and from then on the Millenium van jam session with improvisational music.

Finally, on Saturday 15 June at 9.30 am, a cleaning outing organized by the municipal group of Ecovolunteers is scheduled, with an appointment in the square of the Anna Frank school, to collect abandoned waste in the Drubiaglio area and along the Messa stream.
