beauty will save us – in memory of ezio gribaudo

The municipal administration expresses deep condolences for the death on July 18 at the age of 93 of Ezio Gribaudo, one of the most internationally active Italian artists in the second half of the twentieth century: “We remember with affection and gratitude the master Ezio Gribaudo, who at the very end of his life gave Avigliana an extraordinary exhibition, which until July 24 can be visited in the church of Santa Croce ». The exhibition “A rule of art” displays the works of Ezio Gribaudo and Silvio Vigliaturo and can be visited in piazza Conte Rosso before closing this weekend, Friday 22nd from 6pm to 9.30pm and Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th from 4pm at 10pm. Some of the works in the exhibition are inspired by jazz and will be projected on the facades of piazza Conte Rosso and some municipal buildings over the weekend. They will therefore be the backdrop to the highly anticipated concerts on 22 and 23 July of the 29th edition of the Due Laghi Jazz Festival, in homage to the great artist who passed away. The Administration will remember the maestro from the stage of the two concerts.

Gribaudo, born in 1929, participates in numerous public and private exhibitions and the honors received. His death coincides with the publication of an extensive autobiography. To remember the master, on Sunday 24 July at 9.15 pm the documentary “Ezio Gribaudo, beauty will save us” will be screened at the Giardino delle Donne.
