The Municipality of Avigliana participates, together with 14 other Municipalities, in the “Region 4.7 – territories for global citizenship education” project promoted by the Piedmont Region, with the contribution of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. The aim of the project is to contribute to strengthening and broadening the concept of citizenship understood as belonging to the global community and expression of international solidarity. For this reason, the project’s actions concern multiple levels, which contribute to enhancing the skills, roles and experiences of all the subjects of the partnership with a logic of participation, connection and experimentation. Starting from institutional governance systems with the involvement of both the formal educational system and arriving at local educational communities, associations and bodies.

The first result of this work will be the appointment on Saturday 12 October starting from 3pm in the green Alveare park, which will host the first Festival of Associations: a “fair” of the entities present in the Avigliano area which will offer all those present workshops and free activities, information and entertainment to raise awareness among citizens of the numerous initiatives that animate the area and promote the sustainable development objectives of the 2030 Agenda, as well as the associations and groups that are their promoters.
