Archaeological heritage day – Valle di Susa
“Valle di Susa, tesori di arte e cultura alpina ”, in collaboration with the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the metropolitan city of Turin, is organizing the twelfth Day of the Archaeological Heritage of the Susa Valley. During the day fifteen localities of the Valley will open their archaeological sites with the possibility of free guided tours.
For the twelfth consecutive year the Susa Valley will be the protagonist of an extraordinary choral story that will highlight the richness and widespread dimension of the cultural heritage. A journey through history through the places where the traces of the inhabitants and travelers of this territory remain, unique in its kind for the stratification and transformation of the landscape that characterizes it.
The theme “Joie de vivre, epidemics and rebirths” will be the common thread around which thematic accompaniments, events and meetings to animate the sites will be organized.
Open Doors Archeology is part of the Susa Valley integrated enhancement plan for Treasures of Alpine Art and Culture, which, through a participatory style, over the years has trained numerous volunteers, allowing to maintain and increase the involvement and empowerment of local communities on the issues of management and enhancement of cultural heritage.
In compliance with current legislation on the prevention and containment of Covid-19, the use of the mask is mandatory within the sites and respect the provisions provided by the organizers.
